Could I legally be FIREd for this?

I'm 8 months pregnant. my job is very phsycial. the two bozos i work for /with have always givne me the heavy portoin of the work load nad its hard to keep up with it evne before i got pregnant. now its even harder. anyways , they are giving me too much to do. I am unable to do all of it. do you think they could fire me on the grounds that im not able to perform my duties same as before? Or am i protected with my pregnancy anti discrimantion laws?? I read on the lwas if someone cannot perform their duties as good or has a decline in duties they can be forced to go on early maternity leave or be fired. Its not due to the pregnancy but they sure could play it off that way. so which is it? Thanks :)

depends on what state you live in, you'll have to check out your local labor laws yourself because you didn't include that info
i would have left by now
You need to check within your own state labor laws. In some states you are protected, in others, you are not.
You can not legally be fired for not being able to lift heavy loads;as you are preg. and at this point of your pregnancy You should not be doing that anyway. Talk to who ever in the business handles Human resources and explain the situation to them. tell them you have concerns about your unborn and is there a position that doesn't require lifting until you take preg. leave.
The failure to reassign you duty that you can perform is something you can sue for, because it is sex discrimination (funny how only women get pregnant) and illegal under federal law.
May this sound you off that i am not able judged a women what he is going these day during her pregnancy period

you should take leave next 3 month that could free you off your duties so company does matter and plus your work will also will
be safe if your setting job making arrangement you should get
work from home so that is another options for you
you're are not be fired for this things person not hard and heartless see women in laber not understanding

just don't worerys let him to think

live life enjoy happeness
In a number of states at the present time, an employer can fire you without even giving you reason why you are terminated. Check with a lawyer if your state is one of these. If it is, forget it, you have NO LEGAL RECOURSE.
it really depends on your states laws although a lot of it depends on if there is a less physically demanding department they could put u in. If there is then u should request a transfer while u are pregnant. If not and your job entails that you do a lot of physically demanding things then you are probably not covered. It is unfortunate although there is usually a way that companies will let you take early leave and still have your job. Very few states will you be covered in or it would put too many companies in a position where they are short handed although it does help that you obviously had that job before you became pregnant. I would talk to a lawyer and ask then they will give you a free consultaion. Talk to a lawyer who specializes in litigation or lawsuits. Hope this helps
Try and talk to them and ask for light duties.
if you were hired,to do a job, did it, cant do it now, they dont want to cut you some slack, then yeah. your job description didnt include a clause, except if you get pregnant, so yeah they can. theres no discrimination, you may have had a case if you took maternity leave before the complaining started.
