Could someone please explain when you attend a civil court for direction what this means.?

Answers:
Think of it, simplified, as a time management exercise designed so that both parties may identify the issues that divide them ,where they might be agreed, the 'bundle' or file of paperwork that each side may required, serve upon each other, require clarification upon, the way and number of previous cases that are relevant that will be presented in argument when it comes to trial, all so that at the same time justice may be done, efficiently and cost effectively. Parties that don't follow the directions can incure the severe displeasure of the trial judge, sometimes having to pay costs for the delay non compliance results in.
It means to decide the next move..
