So wat is the best way too go about this situation?
Answers:
Well, you should have done the right thing in the first place and turned it in to the police and not tried to use it!

See, as soon as you tried that was the intent to commit a crime and you were properly charged with the crimes you committed.

Greed is a killer, my friend.

Work out a plea deal with the state. If it is your first offense, you will probably get some sort of diversion and probation.
Admit to your criminal behavior and take your punishment like a man --- if you know how.
You can't get out of a situation that you are too deeply involved in. If you seriously have no other criminal record, you might be able to get the felony reduced to a lesser charge.

By the way... Gas gift cards look way different then credit cards. Just as I have trouble believing you... many others will also. Unless you are genuinely honest about what you are saying, take the deal.

Best way to get out. A very expensive lawyer... just like the stars.
Arrest record and charges filed against you never go away no matter what happens, they will be there when you apply for a job, loan, apartment, etc.. All published for the world to see. Plus, you have admitted to finding a card that did not belong to you as well as admitted to trying to use it, so the charges here seem so appropriate that it would take a miracle for you not to be convicted. Considering that one of them is a felony... well, that's it for you bud. Nobody wants a convicted felon around. Sorry, that's just the way it works, but at least we're not in Iran or it'd be the sword.

Consult with an attorney and do not talk to the police or anyone else.
