Court dates and whether i'm allowed to leave the state?

i shoplifted.. its was a misdemeanor..i need advice about whether or not the court will try to accomodate my reallly busy summer schedule because i have to go to camps and on vacation..will they reschedule for something like that or will i only be allowed to go on the set day. idk what it is yet but i'm worried that it will be in july or august when i'm gone for a long time.
Answers:
no the state will make you accomodate to there busy schedule .
no.
For the most part court dates are pretty solid. If you have a GOOD reason to ask for a continuance, it may be granted. However, I doubt that the judge will consider your vacation and/or summer camp a good reason! Your schedule is the least of their worries! If you are seriously going to ask for a continuance, you need to get it filed IMMEDIATELY! They really don't like it when people wait until the last minute to bring up the possibility of changing a court day. Get it done NOW!
The court will not accomodate YOU. You need to be there on your court date. If you don't show, they will issue a warrent for your arrest. Boo hoo if your court date falls within your vacation time. You should not have shoplifted!
You can enter a not guilty or guilty plea without actually going to court, If you plead not guilty they will set a court date for you, often you can explain your situation on dates, and if they can accommodate according to their policy they will. If you plead guilty then they may sentence you there. Most likely just by levying a fine.
you can sometimes go early..wouldnt count on them working around your schedule..
The courts will accommodate you on misdemeanor charges for work..Dr's appointments...family emergencies.etc. They definitely aren't going to accommodate you for vacation.
If you have hired an attorney, he may be able to get a continuance...but, it is up to the judge presiding as to whether that would be granted or not. Their could even be a second continuance; but, everything depends on if it pleases the court at the time. Your summer camp and vacation may have to wait; your life and where it's headed is on the line!
No you will have to accommodate them. Unless you have a good reason to postpone your hearing you will have to go as scheduled. The court wont give a **** about your summer camp.
