D.U.I versus O.U.I?

Whats the difference between a DUI (driving under the influence) as opposed to an O.U.I (operating under the Influence). Which is worse? Anyone know the potentail penalty for an OUI?
Answers:
Both carry the same penalties, so it doesn't really make any difference.
Has to do with legal definitions. You operate heavy machinery. You don't drive it. Therefore you need a seperate statute to handle each.
dui mens just DRIVING under the inflence. Oui means operating any machine under the influence. That means that dui is part of oui.
Different states call it by a different name, but they are the same...In NH, first time,,,,loss of license for up to a year, and an intervention program...2nd time, loss for 3 years, jail for 3 days and an intervention program for multiple offenders.
