I have worked for over 30 years and have never claimed benefit.I saw a local women in the pub bragging about getting awarded dla when as she admitted to people that there was nothing wrong with here.She said people had reported her but when someone comes out she put it all on.What can be done to stop this woman.Hate knowing that hard working people are paying for her.

yes please do that. report it no matter what. After a while they will get the hint. People like her need to be put in jail. But that would cost the tax payers even more.
If you want to report her then you should mention the conversation you overheard. They may film her secretly in that case and discover her fraud
report her again tell them what you heard! they should do a spot check on her and she should have to go to an independent Dr

Some people with disabilties have no intention of sharing with others...what that disability is. Does she say what it is for ie: back injury, Cancer...MENTAL ILLNESS. If I was drinking away in a pub and was on disability for mental illness...I wouldn't tell anybody either.
Her Disability is most likely an invisible one, meaning it is not a "physical disability" and to get disab is a complex process in which you must have a totally disabling medical condition * NOTE: Psychological conditions ( as it seems in her case) are a disability and sometimes people WHO have them tend to believe they are getting $$$ for free, because it gives them a false sense of wellness. Perhaps her boisterous attitude and demeanor is a part of her disability IE inability to conceptualize reality .. aka delusional, besides what healthy minded person would brag about being a wothless bum, fraud or cheat to to the very folks who are paying for that gift? alcohol perhaps played a part in this as well as her inability to cope with her truth(s) and mental disorder... cheers for me ? empathy not anger comes to mind, besides it was possibly her intent to anger others to make herself feel better... one never knows what disfunction lurks in the mind of another!
Record her making these statements on your mobile,or get some one to collaborate what she said in writing then send to the Ministry of Works and Pensions,address in yellow pages.
I totally agree with you, get on the case as soon as you can, there is just too much of this going on, shop her.
report her they can follow and watch what she does to c if she really has a disability or not and they may also tape her conversations there r ways around this i agree with u x
The more reports they receive about her fraud, the more notice they will take. You can report anonymously if you wish. Have you not seen the cases in the papers where they've filmed people allegedly unable to work and playing tennis etc?
Mind you, she may actually be unwell and just bragging in the pub!

people like her make me sick-my son has downs syndrome and we have just been turned down for motorbility because he is not disabled enough...he is four years old and has only learnt to walk in the last year and can only toddle around. they have said because he can walk then i have no need for it.

I live in a upper class neighborhood, the guy that lives next door is on social security disability, he plays golf three times a week, swims every day and I have yet to see what his problem is. I do know he keeps telling me god provides for his needs. I told him it was the tax payer providing for his needs and not god. He doesn't talk to me anymore.
