Do i have a case???

today i just got fired from my job which ive worked at for 3 1/2 years but since i had been working there my ex boss used to use profanitity and he would profile people as if he knew where you came from for example myself i wear ecko and urban clothing and he will tell me "leave your thug life at home " i mean this guy what he does is push you to ther point where he would make you quit instead of firing you because he does not want to pay unemployment hes chinese
Answers:
Google your "states name + at will". If your state has at will employment laws in place, you have no case. Since your employer is a member of a minority class you will have one hell of a time proving discriminatory actions.

Why in the hell did you keep working there if your checks were bouncing? That makes no sense.
Technically he, being the employer can expect you to wear a certain type of clothing,uniform.. BUT he is not being legal by making those kind of comments. Legally he can ask u to wear regular clothing without verbage pics etc... At this point I would say find a better job, and pay attention to their dress code... dress YOUR fashion before and after work, so there is no problem. Good Luck!
A case , such as?
def on the check thing. ask for cash for what has bounced. the other thing tho, no.
A case of what? :)

So, seriously, why were you fired? An employer has every right to establish dress codes if those contribute to the business.

Lots of people have a mean boss. To have a case, you'd need to have more.
Yes you do... It is against any law to cash your payroll check and it bounce from insufficient funds. 3 1/2 years? I believe your worth more than a check that cant be cashed today. You can do better, but really why waste your time on him any longer. He's not fair to any of his employees. Let it go and find another place that can give you a pay check and a pat on the back for all your hard work. Good Luck
Of course you have a big case in front of you, profanity and defamation can be punished and criminal laws allows to start a legal process for those crimes against honor. And with the pay check trouble you can also pursuit him for civil and also criminal crimes because in the civil matter you are having damages and prejudices and in the criminal matter your ex boss is falling in the crime of swindle because it doesn't have funds to pay it and in labor terms you have right to be indemnified for all those years you worked on the company!

Good Luck and hope this answer helps to clear your legal panorama and hope everything can go just perfect!

See ya, by the way I'm from Guatemala and I study in the Faculty of Laws 3rd year!
You have a choice.

Follow rodrigo's advice and have the court laugh you out of the building, or take the bounced checks (IF you still have them) to the district attorney for charges of theft by false instrument.

By the way, the fact that he is chineese is racial profiling itself. Why was it necessary to mention that when you are here making a complaint that HE was racially incorrect.

The fact is, he as your employer, has a right to set dress policy. Unless you want to argue with the U.S. Supreme Court.
"Employment at will" goes hand-in-hand with "fire anybody at will." An employer can fire an employee-at-will for no reason at all, or with any reason that is not illegal discrimination. For instance, you could be fired because you're the only one the boss doesn't like. Perfectly legal.
Working in the establishment is a game. If you are willing to speak correctly, dress correctly and act correctly, they will let you in. Any arbitration or change from that and you will be dismissed. Its like baseball or football,...follow the rules and they let you play and even pay you to do it. Dont follow the rules, youre out.

Im not saying its right, Im saying it is what it is. Conform or not , its your choice.
