Dissolving POA and employment contract with attorney in AZ... how would I go about doing this?

My father is in his 70s and has been using the same attorney for his disability and workers comp for the past 20 years. An employment contract was signed granting the lawyer Power of Attorney for my father. I am just curious if the POA will automatically be dissolved after my dad fires the attorney or if there are different steps we have to take seperate from firing the attorney.
Answers:
Write a letter to the attorney telling him that you are terminating your relationship and include in the letter that this correspondence hereby terminates all previous contracts and powers of attorney entered into. Send it certified mail, return receipt requested, keep a copy of the letter for your own records.
Usually the firing of the attorney terminates all agreements and relationships including a power of attorney...consult another attorney in AZ for more info or call the state bar association hotline in your area and see if this is a question they can answer
Do everything in writing. And the revocation of the POA needs to be in writing. If it was filed anywhere then the revocation needs to be filed. And where ever it was used should be contacted and told the attorney no longer has the POA.
