Discrimination question?

My husband is having some problems at work. His supervisor is hispanic and my husband is white. His supervisor shows clear favoritism for the hispanic employees while holding the white and african american employees to a different standard. My husband puts in 12+ hours a day, when he finishes his work he still isnt allowed to leave, but has to pick up the slack from the supervisor's buddies that have left after their 8 hour shift is over. His supervisor has made several derogatory comments about white people. How should he handle this situation?
Answers:
He should document and record those comments when they're made, keep records of the overtime he's being forced to put in, and if possible, keep records of the lack of overtime other workers aren't putting in. Documentation is key to proving discrimination, since you can bet the supervisor is going to deny any wrongdoing. If the discrimination keeps going on, then organize all the documentation and take it to an employment law attorney or your state's labor department and see what they say.
GET AN ATTORNEY
take it to an HR officer
He should just get another job. No one likes a cry baby, especially one that has to have his wife fight his battles.
first he needs to get proof. Either tape record him making those comments, or log hours he works and the hours he sees other people working.

An attorney for $$ is a good way to go, but I wouldn't go there without the backing on paper first.
Keep records (privately) and get and attorney but don't hope for much - the best way to handle it may be to start looking for another job.
Take notes and see an attorney
You say after 12+ hours of work your husband isn't "allowed" to leave!?! Isn't that against labor laws? Kinda hard to believe, I doubt his supervisor put a gun to his head and won't let him leave.
if what you say is true then your husband should get a small recorder and record some of this bastards comments, also he might be able to get a friendly reporter to investigate as reporters seem to be a lot better than the police on reporting things, and it would also give this reporter a story that they are always looking for, it appears this idiot is acting completely illegal, and should be stopped and maybe get a little needed rest at the county farm, or maybe even sent back across the rio grande, Also, if there are other whites and blacks there he should be able to bring in the labor board and prove to them how this nt is acting, if they do prove this your husband could be in for a good amount of money for compensation, and the **** out of a job,
however my favorite method is a good size stick, you would be surprised how fast attitudes change,
Discrimination is discrimination, regardless of the race of the victim or perpetrator. If this supervisor has a supervisor, then I would take it to him/her. File a grievance if necessary. If not, then get documentation (proof) of the discrimination and take it to the courts.
