Do copyright laws expire on games i heard they do but i don't beleave it?

Answers:
Except perhaps for J.M. Barrie's British copyright on Peter Pan, all copyrights expire.

The problem with games is that the publishers modify them slightly %26 then the copyright period for the new version starts all over again.
If a copyright is not renewed they generally will expire in 17 years. but usually by then the software is so outdated it wouldn't matter anyway. Even at that, the name, and characters and themes will most likely still have copyrights active, only in newer versions of the games, such as mario, pong, and the likes.
