I was under the impression that they did. However, my boss tells me that they will not pay for jury duty. Can anyone help? What are my choices? If I skip jury duty, I get arrested. If I go, I lose atleast one day of pay (possibly much more). Please post some websites with some info on this if you have any.

It's illegal for your boss to refuse to pay you. He can be jailed for what he's trying to do. There should have been a page with more details in the jury duty notice. If there wasn't, there should be a phone number you can call for details.
Your boss is trying to cheat you. Even hourly employees are entitles to pay when serving jury duty. Your boss is hoping you'll be too timid to call him our for trying to cheat you.

No, jury duty is a civic obligation. Some large employers like the government, public utilities, a few very large corporations, will pay for jury duty. Our company does not and that has always resulted in my co-workers getting excused when called for anything more than a very short trial like a DUI case.
